"System exception - Access Violation" trying to load AutoOverlay plugin

I'm trying to use the AutoOverlay plugin (https://github.com/introspected/AutoOverlay) with AviSynth+.

However, right on the first line, I keep getting this error:

System exception - Access Violation

The line:

LoadPlugin("D:\avs\plugins\AvsFilterNet.dll")

This happens when trying to open/encode the script with ffmpeg.

Any ideas?

What version of plugin and avs+ ?

Other people had similar problems, and it seems to work if you just copy the plugins and let it autoload
