I own an AMD system, have a large collection of blurays and UHD blurays that I have been enjoying for many years.

To be able to decrypt blurays and UHD blurays the easiest way is to use MakeMKV and enable system integration in its options. Once done use MPC-BE, MPC-HC or VLC player to play those formats. The integration option tell MakeMKV to decrypt whether a particular application is running or system wide. If you do not use MPC-HC or VLC player then choose system rather than the respective application in the integration options.

If you want to navigate the bluray menus like a real BD/UHD BD player or Cyberlink Player in VLC player then you will need to install java.

You can use MadVR if you choose MPC-HC or MPC-BE to playback Blurays.
