Hi,
I don't manage to get stereo audio when capturing TV with Vdub.
I also tried Pinnacle's beta wdm driver and BTWincap in combination with WinVCR, same mono result.
Has anyone suggestions how to make this card work with stereo audio? The only program which gives stereo sound is Pinnacle's "Vision" which is delivered with the card.
Thx,
Bernd

Have you changed the audio settings i vdub when you capture?
If you don't change the settings to stereo CD-sound,
it is default mono.
Remember to save the settings you select.

My audio settings in VDub are 16 bit, 44.1 kHz stereo. :(

Try iuvcr from www.iulab.com. Go to the video tab and then to the crossbar button. Enable audio pin5 (Digital Audio bla bla bla). Then try and capture again (or capture with iuvcr itself). Works for me. IuVCR is the only program atm that is able to initialize the correct audio pin of the driver (or the card? Don't know) on startup. Since I capture with WinDVR that means that I start iuvcr for a few seconds and then WinDVR which then captures perfectly stereo. PowerVCR for example always switches back to mono.
I think that's because Pinnacle wants to keep their own software in business. And nothing is better for that than incompatibilities with standards ;-)I am waiting for the new driver/software package that is supposed to be launched at the end of MArch...
Hope I could help.

Hi netzfuchs,
thx very much for your reply. I will give iuvcr a try.
What drivers do you use for capturing with WinDVR? It wants WDM drivers...

Ah, as I remeber: Don't capture using IuVCR, it can't keep the stream synched (not yet, at least).
COncerning drivers: Go check the Pinnacle Support site. There are beta wdm drivers. Without those you won't need to try iuvcr anyway. I thought, you had them...
With the WDM drivers and WinDVR you can even capture full res MPEG2. Just that stereo thing is bugging me. And the lousy quality of my cable!
So long,
