I was just wondering as I havent tried it.

When i put in the DVD, DVD2SVCD detects it and the main movie files so it just goes from there.

So my question is, can it rip the entire DVD? Including all those other chapters, deleted scenes and other extras?

If it can, usually approximately how many cds would it require? Also, IF it can rip the entire thing, then i would presume it works exactly the same as DVD.

Hi marie,

this is not possible with D2S doing it fully automated. You have to do this manually by converting each bonus track on its own (usually these tracks have different aspect ratio and audio tracks also, so it is almost impossible to do this for a whole DVD in one step). Just select the appropriate *.ifo file manually in "Conversion" tab and do a conversion with it.

Then you could try to use only the created *.mpg files and burn them with Nero as a SVCD with a menu for the bonus material - I think this will come close to an extra DVD with bonu material on it.

Greetings,
Gerti

P.S. Search the forum for more on that - use "bonus AND dvd" or "extra AND dvd" with it. ;)

also you can use DVDX to browse the DVD vobs to see what you want to encode and to locate the proper place on the vob that has it.
