European or Latin American Spanish

I'm used to seeing that no distinction is ever made in BD Info reports between European Spanish and Latin American Spanish streams (audio or subtitles), so the tag is always just "Spanish". I don't know if this is because the BluRay authoring software used by studios doesn't have an option to specify it, or simply because they don't care.

Does anyone have more info on this?

It is a Blu-ray Specs issue, that's the reason why for discs with both audios usually an additional menu is shown before the main menu.

Only the MKV container has a way to differentiate them, "es" (Español), "es-es" (Gachupin/Castillian), "es-419" (Latin America).
