Problem in Fixing Access Violation

Hello Guys,

Greetings from Kolkata, India.

You can consider me a rookie-the-novice when decoding a DVD to .mkv is considered.

I use a Windows 7, 32 bit machine (a desktop of neanderthal era).

I urgently require to fix access violation (executing it in System32 of Windows) and due to which I cannot use FFTW3.dll, decomb.dll, denoiser.dll, dfttest.dll etc.

To me, effective functioning of FFTW3.dll is very much important. I downloaded libfftw3l-3.dll, libfftw3f-3.dll and libfftw3-3.dll along with their .def files and pasted them in System32 of Windows but I couldn't execute them.

And, YES, I have downloaded all 32 bit version (x86) for sure.

I tried from command prompt as administrator for several times but all went in vain. :(

Please help me by suggesting what should I do to fix access violation i.e. (executing it in System32 of Windows). Thanks in advance.

I believe it will be useful for all novice users like me.

It will look like "0xC0000005".

libfftw3f-3.dll is the only one that you need, and the appropriate one for the version of avisynth that you are using.
Remove ALL other files you may have put in system32.

For 32 bit Windows,
and Avisynth 32 bit, libfftw3f-3.dll [x86 dll] goes in system32.

For 64 bit Windows,
and Avisynth 32 bit, libfftw3f-3.dll [x86 dll] goes in SysWOW64,
and Avisynth 64 bit, libfftw3f-3.dll [x64 dll] goes in system32.
[seems kinda back-to-front, but thats microSoft for you - (Although to be fair, its probably the only way it could have been done)]

Some filters require the libfftw3f-3.dll file to be named "fftw3.dll", so wherever you have moved libfftw3f-3.dll to
[ie system32 or SysWOW64], then can just copy the dll file, and rename the copy as required by those filters [ie "fftw3.dll"].

After you've done that, see what happens and let us know.

EDIT: OK, seems I missed that you ARE on x86, and put the dll in system32, so seems right so far [but remove the other files from system32, ie .def developer files etc].

Next remove ALL non required dlls from plugins [move them to a temp folder], and retry.

EDIT: Maybe retry with simple test something like
