a. lower the amount of eggnog intake
b. there is no 'perfect', aiming for it is good, trying to archive it is foolish. Once it's good enough for you (or your client) stop.

The best way to know when it is finished is to have a deadline, preferably one from a client. It is "finished" when you get to that date.

If you are an artist, that idea may offend you, but it is how the real world works.
