View Full Version : Fixed-image Tracking

This is an outcropping of a discussion on the InpaintDelogo thread.

There seems to be no code that can identify and track a fixed image in a video, such as a logo or caption, so that a delogo-type function could dynamically act upon it without user creation of a mask or other involvement. This would be particularly helpful if the logo shifts, occasionally, or in the event that multiple videos are processed, but the identical logo is in slightly different locations (a few pixels difference).

Does anyone have an example of a moving logo I can test with?

What I have done is to move the image by a simple script:

Crop(40,0,0,0)
AddBorders(0,0,40,0)

This has the same effect as though you were dealing with two different videos, each having the same logo but in different locations (a common problem, for me).

Here is the link to an image that has a logo in it: https://postimg.cc/jwQyP4gB

Hopefully, others can provide logos that move within a single video.

One can try F2Correlation of my manyplus plugin. In the reference clip only logo with rest blackened can be used. It will output shifts in text format.
