The sticky FAQ was full of dead links and outdated soft and I try to update it.

In the first post I put the recommended soft to replace old methods, many of them still accesibles by the link Doom9 (http://www.doom9.org/) in the forum header.

I make a special intro to ffmpeg, the most ussefull tool now, I hope than be interesting for newbies.

I join some utils for wavs, ac3 and a new LeeAudBi7 than was attached in many posts here and there.

Also the AAC encoders have a special update, and EAC3, TrueHD Atmos, Opus (not mentioned before)...

Of course still can add/delete more questions. If there are sugerences here you can put them...

Of course still can add/delete more questions.

Maybe you could add answers/solutions to common questions:

Why does eac3to say libDcaDec reported the warning "XLL output not lossless"? Fix (https://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1919106&postcount=28)
Do lossy tracks have bit-depth? What has eac3to done to my "24-bit" DTS?

And so on...

Even if people continue to ask, at least we need to write only "See the FAQ."
