View Full Version : AviSynth+ (Win10, 64-bit) not associating?

Just installed AviSynth+ 3.7.0 (r3382, 3.7, x86_64). Doesn't seem to do anything. Clicked on a test .avs file, with just Version() in it, but Windows media player says it can't recognize it (and other players just crash on it). AviSynth Info Tool says it's installed perfectly. Is there any way to debug this further? There used to be an avisynth editor, but that's just for 32-bit.

Try opening it in VirtualDub 2 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/vdfiltermod/files/VirtualDub%20pack/version%2020/)

Try opening it in VirtualDub 2 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/vdfiltermod/files/VirtualDub%20pack/version%2020/)

It opens in VirtualDub2 (as well as AVS2yuv64). Just can't get it open by double-clicking on it. (With whatever media player I associate .avs with).

I wouldn't even bother with AviSynth any more if it weren't for VEAI (Video Enhance AI), which can't take vapoursynth scripts (yet?).

MPC-HC and PotPlayer generally play nice with Avs on W10 x64, it would not occur to me to try Windows Media Player.
Also might try GisPos AvsPMod.
