MPC-HD - Stop button options

I listen to long podcast type programs on MPC-HD and often pause. Sometimes I press "Stop" by accident and then lose my place on the program.

Is there a way to have the player remember where the time in the program is when hitting "Stop" or even make it show the "Stop" button does not appear so I won't accidentally press it?

1) You likely mean mpc-hc.
2) it's not possible to remember the time when you stop.
3) the stop button cannot be disabled (in the main release at least)
4) you can hide the whole toolbar with View > Toolbar

Sorry, there goes that eyesight again. It's MPC-BE.

I unchecked "Controls" and now all of the controls are hidden I can just click on the player and it alternates between Play and Pause. That's a suitable solution for me.
