Licensing (DRM) has been removed from DGDecNV and DGDemuxGUI/DGDemux. They will remain closed source for now. The executables remain copyrighted and may not be redistributed without written permission.

Think of it as an essential step towards porting to Linux. ;)

Much welcome step! Thanks!

This is good news.

Does this mean the version numbers will start getting updated again? (dgdecnv has been on 2053 for a long time)

Good point. Maybe we lose 2053 and go with build (slipstream) number exclusively. Still deciding...

Nice one, many thanks... And it's not even Christmas :D

So Linux version on Chrismas then? :D

Thank you for making your great tools free for everyone.

That's good news (even though I had a licence).
I use it on NVIDIA Quadro P4000 and Windows 10 Enterprise at work, however I have Fedora 34 (Linux) at home and I might give it a whirl once it's released.
About that, will we ever see a CUDA accelerated version of Cube()? Perhaps for Christmas 2021? :D

Thank you very much, really appreciated! (Even though I paid for DGDecNV I prefer DRM-free solutions)

A first step to Communism. Good.
Continue that way.

A first step to Communism. Good.
Not my intent but dream on.

Although I can't currently use them due to an unsupportive NVIDIA card,

:thanks:

Nice!
The executables remain copyrighted and may not be redistributed without written permission.
May I bundle DGDecNV with Hybrid? :)

Please send me a PM with an email address where I can contact you. One condition will be that you correct the link for DGMPGDec at your website. ;)

About that, will we ever see a CUDA accelerated version of Cube()? Putting that on my to-do list. Thank you for the suggestion.

I used only once your tools, although I knew them for long.
DGDemuxGUI did the trick the other day and I learned a new thing.
Even for this I think you deserve a thanks from me... so thanks
:thanks:

Wait, you mean I've been using pirated versions of DGindex and mpeg2dec3.dll this whole time?!? Shit, I'm so sorry. How much money do I owe you?

Blue_MiSfit

The CUDA accelerated versions were payware until now :)

DGIndex was free, it was DGIndexNV which was payware.

Someone please tell me if this is the wrong place to post this, as well as the right place.

I learned of this good news last year. And I've now tried the new version (255 64-bit). When I run it, it gives a warning "ERROR: JIT compilation failed." When I continue, the main window opens up, but after I open a file, the program simply disappears as though I had never run it.

My last licensed version (2052 32-bit) runs fine, same computer, same video file. Have I done something incorrectly? I'm on Win10 Pro-64bit fully MS-updated.

I suggest to go back to 250 or 251, just to test.

Wanted to say thank you, as I just realised the DRM was removed. I changed my motherboard and dg tools refused to run. So I launched the licensing link and found it was removed. Googling here, I found this thread and updated to the most recent drm-free version.
