please change in tmpgenc to dc precision 10 instead of 9. much better colour with mpeg2 source. this proggie gets useful for me now with tmpgenc support! really good work! (except for dc precision... :))
And by the way why are everyone complaining about speed in tmpgenc. if you choose motion estimate search(fast) instead of high quality (slow) it is much faster! and you could hardly see the difference.
i encode in realtime with 352x240 resolution on my p4 1.6.

352x240 is VCD resolution, not SVCD so does not mean much here!

I second This one...I get much better color..with it set at 10. And motion estimate search will work fine for ninety to a hundred minutes....but for any thing more on two CDs it becomes apparent.

Try this one:

Update to build 2 before you use the above update.

i know 352x240 is vcd resolution. but i want to make xsvcd and have made many of them before with tmpgenc. and now i want to do that with dvd2svcd because it's a excellent proggie.. and dc precision 10 is much better than 9, so hopefully its fixed now.. :)
If you do the letterboxing right, you can get a movie on one 99 min cd with vcd resolution. But i want to have mpeg2 for better colour(with dc precision 10). A VCD have only dc precision 8, because mpeg1 only support that.

Well, that is strange because I just asked ddogg to try it too and his worked, so it must be something at your end that fails.
