is there any program like DVD2SVCD to convert rip dvds to vcds???
if not, a good guide???

Have a look at doom9's guide to dvdx. It does what you want.

DVD2CVD is so buggy. I tried it once, as well, it is only in Spanish language which I dont understand most of it.

DVDx on the other hand is so buggy as well. Its own encoder doesnt produce good result when compared to encode by tmpgenc.

But yeah, would have been nice if there would be a front end program as well that will do ripping-framserving-encoding-making images in one shot just like DVD2SVCD
