My Source is interlaced 29.97 fps, while it probably need to be reverted to 25 FPS(which might be original) I have some questions, how can I accurately remove interlacing besides specifying frame rate as 25, in handbrake there's Detelecline, interlace detection option, and Deinterlace: Decomb/Yadif, and sub-category preset :Default/BOB/EEDI2/EEDI2BOB
what to do and what should I use? I'm new to video terminology, encoding, filtering avisynth and stuff, thanks
And I need to know how to properly remove interlacing using handbrake

post sample of your source first

You can't fix it properly, because the height has been resized in a progressive fashion (438 height) , while still interlaced. That results in those wavy lines

If you have the (480 height) original source, then you might be able to fix it

I encoded it from the source, should I have left it anamorphic?
Didn't knew that, I'm new to encoding, then what am I supposed to do? in Handbrake what settings do I need to use?

You post a sample of the original source first . Not re-encoded. Not processed or cropped or resized

How can I make a sample file?

Open your source file in MediaInfo and post the Text view output. Then we can tell you what kind of cutter you can use.

Most likely you will have to do inverse telecine conversion to 23.976 FPS

Ok, Thanks for the info.
Btw a user somewhere said my encode was blends/scene bleeds. but since I'm new to video editing, I didn't understand what he meant by my encode had "blends/scene bleeds".

You used wrong options in handbreak and you got damaged output.

Is inverse telecine same as detelecine option in handbrake?

Most likely

I made 2 sample encodes, one in 25fps & other in 23, both were inverse telecined, can someone please check both & tell me which looks more accurate/natural?

Without watching i can tell you that 25 FPS is wrong!

Ok, then I'll trust you, thanks
BTW since you seem to be author of ripbot, which I'd unheard till now, Does ripbot has more options, better GUI etc than Handbrake?

Better GUI >> maybe / maybe not, depends on your taste
More options >> yes and probably better output since it has a 10 bit encode chain and a bunch of good avisynth and vapoursynth filters / templates
