Hi,

I'm using MPC-HC 1.9.8 with madVR to play 4k HDR videos and let madVR convert HDR to SDR, which is the only setting I changed from the default setting.

My problem is madVR seems to be very unstable to the point it is barely usable. Here's a list of some of the problems I frequently have

- fast forward/rewind causes the video to be stuck (but audio continues to play)
- Exiting/entering full screen (especially with some seeking) causes the video to be stuck
- Changing the volume and bringing up the Windows volume UI will always cause the video to lag
- If I seek too many times MPC-HC just shuts down

I'm thinking madVR shouldn't do this, otherwise it won't be as popular as it is. What can I do to avoid this? I am using a GTX 1050.

Thanks

Windows volume UI? Perhaps you mean the On-Screen Display function of MPC-HC that shows in top left corner? You can disable OSD in the player options.

Lowering queue sizes in madVR options might help with stability.

Everything works fine here no matter how often I seek.

I've been using all the recent MPC-HC dev builds along with madVR and LAV, and I have not noticed anything different. It just works.
