Help Needed - Fixing Rolling Camera Intereference

Hello all, I'm having trouble finding anything that will remove or diminish camera banding that is prevelant through the 1985 Live Aid concert. From memory, I believe it was from the P.A. system in the stadium overloading the cameras. Are there any plugins or scripts that can help? The following image is a particularly bad example of the effect. I can process the video in PAL standard definition if it would help before upscaling the final result.

Probably the only response you're likely to get with above post is a request to supply a video sample [not a still image].

Yes, like StainlessS says, posting a video would be better than a still.

However, even without the video, Defreq is the usual recommendation for this. I helped someone two weeks ago over in the videohellp.com forum who had interference bars. If you want to see the "before" you'll have to download the OP's original video, found in post #1. This is important, because if all you look at is my result, you may think that Defreq didn't do much. The OP was looking for perfection and therefore complained, but if you look at the before/after, Defreq removed about 80% of the artifact.

You might also look at doing some chroma noise removal.

Finally, StainlessS' amazing "SpotLessS" function might do something with this, depending on what the adjacent frames look like (which is another reason you need to post 10-15 seconds of unprocessed, un-reencoded, original video).

If the artifact only appears in frames where there is bright backlighting, what I'd do is find a filter that reduces the artifact, run that on the whole video, but then put that video on the same timeline as your original video, and only cut to the processed video when the artifact appears. This would avoid introducing new artifacts on frames that don't need any help.
