It is possible to make a few runs of DePanEstimate and then use the average of the outputs to DePan?
If so how?
I know that might sound strange. What I am hoping to do is remove 'gate weave' of a 8mm film (each frame of film not always being in exactly the right position) by scanning zoomed out so you can see the edges of each image, separately running DePanEstimate looking only at and around the top edge of the image, then the bottom, then left, then right, and
(1) averaging the result (only x & y shift). or
(2) even better if possible, average the top and bottom to get y shift, average left and right to get x shift.
Hopefully that will mean all the frames are in the same place on the stabilised image, then I can crop the black from the edges and do an image stabilise to remove camera shake, but also fill in the blank spots with previous frame data etc. , <- that is why I don't just do one stabilise instead of all of this.
