Hello i have a dvd with the following settings

i want to encode this so i would have to deinterlace 1st right?

How to deinterlace with Vapoursynth?

also can anybody explain to me whats the difference between interlaced and interleaved

Scan type : MBAFF
Scan type, store method : Interleaved fields
Scan order : Top Field First

This is from a Bluray
do i need to de interlace in this case?

Just like the other place, provide a sample direct from the DVD.

Start the program AvsPmod.
Temporarily set SeparateFields() in the AvisynthPlus-script,
Press F5-functionkey on your keyboard to get up the current frame on the AvsPmod-window.
and if the source-video have normal movement in every sequential frame where there should be movement, then it's interlace video that should be deinterlaced with,
QTGMC()
SelectEven()

If the source is telecined, try set this in the script:
TFM().TDecimate()
