Hi, I'd like to encode real 480x576 SVCD but whatever DVD2SVCD I try I always and up with a 352x576 Movie.
I even checked the Avisynth script saying 480.
Can anyone help a desparate Newbie? Thanx, Herrbert

Hi Herr Bert,
seems that there's something wrong with CCE on your system. It seems that the CCE advanced video option "Half horizontal resolution" is used.
Have you selected this option (or played around with this setting in the past)? - So please post the "CCE_Project_file.ecl" here or you can try to do a reinstall of CCE (search registry and delete old CCE settings also - see CCE helpguide "cctsp.pdf" chapter 6 - Uninstallation for this) and see if that helps.

Hi gerti
He didnīt said that he was using CCE or Tmpeg... and I would like to have this information. The new tmpeg has a dumb svcd template which uses the CVD (the chinese competitor of SVCD) resolution instead of the official resolution. This could be the problem.

Is there no way to change the settings but uninstall?
This is my least CCE_Project_file.ecl
I cann't find the "half resolution" Flag.

Hi there,
@Mozart:
Oh, seems you are right, I think I'm not used to the fact that dvd2svcd supports TMPGenc now and so I assumed he was using CCE. ;)
@Herr Bert:
Please tell us if you are really using CCE or do you use TMPGenc for encoding?
If you use CCE:
1) start CCE manually
2) click on "Template/Standard" menu until "Template setings" window will open
3) hit "Video..." button
4) have a look at the "Video" settings tab in the now showing window
5) uncheck "Half horizontal resolution" if it is checked
Your *.ecl file seems to be correct - another possible cause could be an installed video codec that is messing up something - I think. But anyway deinstalling and reinstalling of CCE will need about 5 minutes so that would be the way I would go for to just sort this possible error out. ;)
Greetings,
Gerti

Thanx Gerti67,
I reinstalled CCE and now try to encode the movie again. I checked the settings but "Half horizontal resolution" is NOT checked. I am really confused because there is not much installed on my system. I would say it is a rather "clean" system.
