View Full Version : DVD Dycrypter vs Windows XP

In order to get Windows XP to install I had to format my C: drive, loosing my longstand FLASK RIP PACK setup.

Upon downloading Flask again, nothing works. DVD Decrypter produces the following, even after installing ForceASPI.

W 17:13:09 Drive F:\ (FAT32) does not support files > 4 GB

Flask bombs too, but leaves no clues.

Can anyone help???

For starters though, get the new version of 3.0.0.12 from http://lightninguk.dns2go.com
I fixed the bug causing it to tell u there are 0 adapters twice and changed some other bits of aspi related code too.

This isnt a dvd decrypter issue, its an ASPI issue. All programs/rippers that use ASPI will fail. Mine simply tells you a bit more about the error.

The error looks like the one you get having installed aspi, but not reset the machine.
You might also notice the FAT32 4GB limit warnings. You really should consider converting all (the rest of) your drives to NTFS - if you only intend to access them via Windows NT/XP or a network. Just run 'convert /FS:NTFS <drive letter>:' from the command prompt.
If you are still having problems with aspi after the reboot, get the aspi manager from ftp.nero.com - the file is called wnaspi32.dll.
Put it in your windows\system32 folder, overwriting the existing (adaptec) file.
Ive found the latest version of Adaptec's ASPI Manager to be a little buggy...best stay clear of it for a while until they sort it out.
