Hi!

I have the following problem...
I use Virtualdub only for cutting and joining the movie file(s) after encoding....my problem is that there a difference in video preformance after using virtualdub...the movie looks "choppy" in camera movement.....why? I use direct stream copy for both audio and video....itīs strange....but i defenatly see a difference after splittning with virtualdub.....could really need some help here...
It doesnīt seem like there is anyone else that have had this problem though...

Is there any other program i can use to split/join DivX files??

Thanx...

Do you know that you have absolutely to cut at the KEY frames?

Key frames are pictures in the video stream that's stored in its entirety; it's sometimes called I-frames. All other frames only store the difference between key frames: they are drawn "on-the-fly" by the player, which is why you can only cut videos at key frame boundaries.

VirtualDub help says how you can see and cut them in VirtualDub. (Look for KEY frames)

I understand.....
But could that really make the problems with smoothness during the whole file?

set audio interleaving to 500ms.
