Joke by a coworker named JR

I was sitting at my desk and one of my coworker named JR just said

"Are you ready for tonight's game?"
- Which one?
"The NBA one I mean".
- Yes, as always, but why?
"Well, because it's not gonna be out of range".
- Good to know but why are you telling me this?
"Did you see which teams are gonna play?"
*He smiles*

Then I looked at the work order in our schedule and the game is "LA CLIPPERS vs SACRAMENTO".

"The clippers from LA... They're gonna clip..."

Then there was silence in the office, him smiling on his own and me with a facepalm. xD

EDIT: Arh, maybe something to do with JR Ewing and the Dallas Cowboys [but thats a different game, I think].
