is there a way to select the core from a dolby trueHD or DTS-MA from an MKV?

I can do it with BDtoAVCHD but prefer ripbot.

p.s ive tried using mkvtoolnix to demux the core then use that with ripbot, but although it plays on a PC my TV ends up playing broken sound.

No... You can't rextract ac3 or DTS stream from true-hd or DTS-MA, since matroska files always only contain the trueHD or DTS-MA stream without the core.

The core audio files are usually packed as a separate stream in the mkv... so if it's there you can select it from the audio drop down in RipBot264.

You need to post this on the RipBot264 forum, not start another "remote" thread.

You might have to convert your audio tracks to formats that your TV will work with.

I have to convert every TrueHD track, as my LG 4K TV doesn't support it.

RipBot doesn't convert TrueHD :(
