I used Mkvtoolnix to get rid of one undesired audio track, before remuxing Mediainfo was showing 7 channels, but now after remuxing shows something strange:

English, 1509 kb/s, 48.0 kHz, 24 bits, 7 channels / 6 channels, DTS (ES Discrete /Core)

7 channels / 6 channels? Did I damage the audio track? After remuxing one more time Mediainfo shows the same again.

I want Mediainfo to show 7 channels again, what can I do to fix that?

Remux can't change the number of channels, only extracting the core of DTS-HD you can obtain less channels.

A DTS-ES 6.1 discrete have 6 channels standard and one more (the back center) in extra bytes of each frame that can be ignored in 5.1 systems (for that MediaInfo say ES Discrete /Core)
There are also DTS-ES 5.1 matrixed with the back center muxed in back left and right, a 6.1 audio system can reconstruct the back center channel.

Thanks tebasuna51, I have detected one thing with DTS-ES 6-1 and DTS-ES 5.1, Handbrake only shows DTS-ES 6.1, with DTS-ES 5.1 just shows DTS 5.1.

Maybe the audio was bad ripped/extracted? I don’t know if I must type a different thing on eac3to to extract DTS-ES 5.1 from DTS-HD Master Audio, I used -core.

It is ok, just use -core.
