View Full Version : Buffy Season DVD and audio delay problem

Hi,

I've been done a lot of svcd encoding yet (often manually) and never had any bigger problems.

But (as mentioned in the dvd2avi manual) there is a problem if a dvd with different chapters/sequals is ripped - there's no guaranty for a correct audio sync.

The last Buffy DVD I've ripped manually I've corrected the encoded audio tracks (which is a lot of work).

Now I've tried again the great dvd2svcd - it works fine.
Only prblem is : the 2nd audio track is out of sync for about 8 seconds (the warner logo intro). When I look at the total lenght there's also the same delay.

Does anybody know who to handle this ? Also I assume that it would be not enough to correct just the beginning - the same probleme probably occurs when the next sequal starts (there are 4 sequals one each of the 3 dvd).

By the way : I've ripped the dvd completely (with subrip as backup) on my hd first.
How do I manually start a crash recovery (although no "real" crashes appeared) just to make it easier for me to mux again automatically with dvd2svcd ? Do I first have to check the appropiate ifo file first ?

Another question : Does it make any difference how to burn / with which programm ?

And : If I manually mux audio and video (e.g. with i-author and the appropiate delay) can I use the settings for submux as stated in the log file ? I've never done this before - although the output cue-file (I've burned with cdr-win) workd great on my yamakawa 715 - only the 2nd audio is out of sync ;-(

Thx a lot,

mave
