Best midrange video card for madVR

Which mid range video card would be best for madVR and what would be the highest settings I could use ?

I want to get a RTX video card but keep hearing about glitches, stuttering, or something with them and madVR

I've only had it for a few days, but I am loving my RX 5700 (AMD). It varies by profile, but I'm able to run NGU High for both Chroma and Luma, plus some other upscaling refinements without breaking much of a sweat. Even poorly encoded 720p files look stunningly good!

Thanks is it just the RX 5700 ? Would the RX 5700 XT be better ?

I never really tried AMD before how are the drivers ? How are the video cards with intel processors as well ?

That's correct, it's just the 5700. In theory, the XT model would be even better, but I'm not sure how much. Either way, I'm thrilled so far. I have read some accounts of driver issues since these cards are so new, but I have had no issues at all. I used AMD's driver cleanup utility to complete remove everything from my previous RX 560, installed the new card, then installed the latest drivers. Like I said, not a single issue so far. I can't speak to the question regarding Intel chips.

amd can output 8 bit HDR it's API needs 10 bit as an input. the AMD API is far more limited then the nvidia API.

this may have changed but the API file in madVR hasn't.

Hello there, guys. I've recently bought an AMD Radeon R7 250. I think it could be a good option for you. Actually, I wish I had replaced my old card earlier. You know, I mostly do 3D design, so the new card has greatly improved the speed and quality of my work. That's it. Still, I agree with other folks' advice. Very useful.
