During video playback, using MadVR and looping or repeating a video continuously, after a couple of hours, sometimes much longer, GPU core and memory clocks drop precipitously, locking in at 608 MHz.
- A video freezes at any scene, sometimes erratically displaying a couple of scenes, as if flashing two images, one semi-transparent.
- The video player's interface and the computer are unaffected. I can still use the video player's interface, including for seeking, and the computer.
- Reloading an affected video resolves the problem until it occurs another time.
- The problem has not interfered with normal playback. I can play hours of videos, loading the next video in a playlist using a hotkey, and not experience the problem. The problem seems to occur only when I loop or repeat a video for several hours.

I tested four different graphics cards, two GTX 1050 Ti and two GTX 1060 3GB. I tested two power supplies, 430 and 550 watts. I also reinstalled the operating system. But the problem persisted.
I posted about the problem on a few technical support forums, but I did not receive help. The only user who replied did not return after I provided updates. So I figure I should try asking here. After all the troubleshooting, it does not appear to be a hardware issue. I did not experience the problem with an HD 6450 and MadVR at low settings. What do you guys think?

I repeated a video for 24 hours and 18 minutes using the low-end preset of LAV Filters Megamix, and there were no problems. I attached a screenshot of the low-end preset. I have increased the settings and am testing again.

After I increased MadVR's settings and repeated a video, the video froze at a frame, occasionally switching between two frames, 5 hours and 40 minutes later. The video's audio stuttered, but the video player and computer remained responsive. Reloading the video resolves the issue.

Is it possible that the Q6700 or DDR2 RAM are "choking" the graphics card after a while, resulting in the core and memory clocks tanking and video freezing at a frame, despite only approximately 40% CPU utilization?
