so discussing about new features of apps like mpc-hc in here is advertising?MPC is open source and does not have a commercial web site. Even though it *seems* that Splash is freeware, you are linking to a commercial site where all other products are payware. That's spamming and advertising.

Yesterday I registered at the forum of chip.de asking for my free open source player to be added to the download section. The answer was advertising is not permitted and I got a warning.

chip.de sucks..
When you download something there they try to make you use theyr own downloader wich i would categorize as Mal/adware.

so, no loss there..

What about Computerbase.de and Heise.de ?

i would love to see MPV.net there ;)

Agree chip.de is crap, but many ago years, it was good, but it is crap already for several years. Times change.
