Old Links

Hy!

I want to read some old tutorials, is there a technique to convert the old site's links or are they dead?
e.g. http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/scenarist.htm
or [url] http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/ButtonOverVideo.htm

It looks like the www.doom9.org domain is dead/offline (think for some time now), so any folders and files
there cannot be accessed unless domain resurrected.

forum.doom9.org, is a different computer to www.doom9.org, and where the forum lives.

Normally I would suggest the Internet Archive:
https://web.archive.org/web/20160608202024/http://www.doom9.org/mpg/scenarist.htm

However, there seems to be some JavaScript in the archived Doom9.org code that immediately triggers a redirect (to some non-existing URL) when the site is loaded from Archive.org mirror.

Probably some kind of "anti-iframe" technique that now backfires :o

I was able to block this via NoScript extension, but we have to use a deep-link to "scenarist.htm", as the Doom9.org index page appears broken with JavaScript blocked ;)

Ouch. Wasn't aware of that old, non-updated-dns as I use localhost.. ;) Will ask doom9 to update the IP.

Since the forum still runs on my server as well as 'ye olde' www you can always update your hostfile. Currently "213.112.23.103 www.doom9.org"

Main Doom9 domain unavailable for maybe 3, more like 6 or 9 months, (dont think 9, but time passes so quick when you is almost dead)
