A way to see ass subs with stretched aspect ratio

Hi, i recently got a 21:9 monitor and i like to see most anime on it stretched while keeping aspect ratio (basically without black bars even if i loose a bit vertically), the problem is the ass subs, when i use stretched with aspect ratio the subs go under the screen visibilty, is there a way to keep them within the displayed image? Preferably with potplayer, but im opened to use alternative players if they the can do this (though it would be nice if the player supported madvr).

that's technically not a stretch it's just cropping because you are keeping the AR so you are not stretching. but madVR can do that in theory.

you need XY subfilter.
zoom control with:
move subtitles into the active video area
automatically detect hardcoded black bars... (i know this is counter intuitive because we are not talking about hard coded black bars)
if there are big black bars: zoom them away completely
and finally zoom small black bars away.

i think this is a bad idea anyway because you are not loosing a little bit of vertical resolution you will loose quite a lot but this should do for what you ask.

move subtitles was what i was after the most unfortunately ass subs that position stuff in the upper position of the video still go off screen even with your method of zoom, i was using till now pot player's zoom which is alt+ctrl+enter, and it did the same as the madvr zoom, but i wouldn't see any subs, with the option to keep subtitles in the active area now i can at least see the subs in the lower region of the video.

if the subtitle in the top has a positioning information than you can't move it safely because it could be a type set that's why subtitles with a position information should never be moved.

there are workaround to avoid that but i guess why do it "correctly" for one or two small subtitles.

Well for now I moved to vlc for this, with vlc even with cropping it keeps the subs visible on screen in the right positions. Also it's not just one or two subs there's a lot more content :p.
