Hello to everybody,

I am new to this forum, new to Avisynth but I'm getting used to it day by day. I would like to ask which filters should I use to restore the colour in the attached clip. I am running Avisynth 2.60 on a Windows 7 laptop with Corei5, if you need some specifications. Regards,

VHS Hunter

Have you tried adjusting the manual tracking control on your VCR? It sure looks like a standard tracking problem. The chroma often disappears when the tracking is off, and you get some of those other artifacts, such as the dropouts at the top and bottom of the screen.

If the VCR is unable to autotrack, and if manual tracking does solve the problem on this one section, you may have to capture more than once, with the manual tracking set so that you get this one section, and then have it set differently for any other sections that still exhibit the problem. You then splice the good sections together.
