I have my serial number for version 2.5 and 2.6, yet despite the serials being accepted (yes, they are legitimate) the encoder sticks on "pending" and will not continue.
No idea why - can anybody help?

It did work on my Win 7 PC, but that C drive died and it is in the repair shop so desperately need to get these encodings done as I have deadlines to meet so installed on a different machine but to no avail.

Stuck and desperate

EDIT

No worries - found a fix.
I simply ran the JAR file directly from in Program Files, and this is now working just fine.
Just not off the short cut that gets installed - weird, huh?

On similar occasions I found .exe- or .jar-bound network communication settings being responsible for certain applications not starting up or crashing on close.

That's a thought - how would I check this, as on looking in the Anti-Virus app settings it does indeed seem that the Java is blocked.
This is bizarre, as the DTS-Pro series encoder runs just fine from the shortcuts yet the DTS-HD MAS only runs if I directly run the actual JAR file for it (and at this point everything runs perfectly).
I should also add that it is in Windows 7 I cannot get past "Pending", having tried both "run as administrator" as well as in various compatibility modes.
On the XP system the GUI will not launch at all from the shortcut yet runs fine from the JAR itself.

Still, all that really matters right now is that it will run on XP (I keep an XP system purely for DVD-Audio authoring, as the Sonic/MEI tool simply does not run on anything newer - at least to date I have never been able to get it to run correctly) and that will have to suffice until I get my main DAW back from repair.

The Java dependencies on my 2nd Win7U64 were hard to trace.
Besides of the mentioned network communication settings (I allow all now)
some Java versions were more susceptible than others (8u111).
I had to call off DEP as far as possible [bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff]
and finally install Java 8u144 into my standalone folder _PROG, not in Programs(86).
Now all Java seems fine.

Oh and a mcvcr71.dll was giving headaches across different softwares too:
Diagnosed on 06.10.2015 with nirsoft CurrProcess:

It's all a bit of a bugger and no mistake.
I confess I am not looking forward to getting things working again when I finally get my DAW back - this will also be a secondary Blu-ray system, and as such will require Java to be at a certain level (or SafeGuard will not run) as well as a second install of Java (for the MAS encoder) - I may well end up trying to install the MAS encoder on the primary Blu-ray authoring system but the drawback there is again the potential for conflicts in the Java runtimes and I cannot live without SafeGuard working as it is absolutely mandatory for us to be using signed certificates now we are loading graphic content straight off the discs using the 00000 folder in the JAR section.
It all seems to me to be a bit on the risky side to chance breaking a working Safeguard application just to get a perishing encoder installed.
Needless to say DTS are of no help at all - all I have had back from them is that the MAS encoder is no longer developed or supported and I need to upgrade to the DTS-X encoder - which is currently Mac OSX only so not much help there considering that I dropped close to $1500 on this software in the first place.

I'm with you.
That is the sole reason I have to keep multiple systems up and running.
Up to three WinXP32 laptops for yesterday's irreplaceable hardware, drivers, formats and tasks,
up to two Win7U64 machines for more recent jobs.
One fine day each will have its purpose, at least to have a fallback system at hand.
Right from the start it wasn't my intention to have a farm like that,
but the wo-o-ords got in the way ♩♪♪♫♫♬♬("There is no language in our lungs", XTC)...
Forgot one last tip, maybe not applicable only for FritzBox users: I had an old (and perfectly working)
FritzBox! hardware-based firewall active which would only allow approved-by-me-applications in and out,
and alas: I had to finally disarm that too...

I just found out that directly running the JAR does not work as I thought it did either!
Tried this last night & I got a "license information was not retrieved" error.
SO what happens is this - run the GUI shortcut (which does not load, but does start the Jobqueue process) and then run the dtsencoder.jar file - this will work.
Madness.

BTW - what XTC album is that one?
I ask as we are doing the current Blu-ray reissues & I don't recognise the lyric.

Quite old thread but maybe it help someone in future.
Some time ago I resolve the issue with pending by disable one of the network card in device manager, in my case the WiFi one. Weird solution but it works.

We downloaded java and installed. Now DTS HD Master Audio tools works but not DTS HD Master Audio. Maybe we are using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit and the other 32 bit because we pressed onWindows 10 Pro 64 bit and the other 32 bit because we pressed on Ctrl + Alt + Del
and see and see . . .

That issue is caused for java version, you should install jre-6u45 (I think that jre-7u80-windows-i586 runs fine too). Sometimes, antivirus block program process, unabled for testing.

Good evening everyone ,

Now it works but the extension is dtshd. How do we do it ?! Otherwise we can't do anything

How do you do what? The expected extension for DTS-HD MA output from the encoding suite is .dtshd. Use MediaInfo to check the properties of the output.

Hello Richard1485 ,

Thank you for answering us, just it's
to burn and listen .

tebasuna51
20th July 2020, 10:00
Authoring BD soft (to burn) must recognize .dtshd

If not you can use :

eac3to input.dtshd output.dts

DTS-HD Master Audio Suite can output standard dts, without the header than make it .dtshd, but you need select Destination Format (DVD .cpt only up to 5.1).
And after change the .cpt with .dts

Emulgator
20th July 2020, 15:50
You would use .dtshd for BD-Authoring, so it is expected to be muxed it into .m2ts.
Burn and listen: Well, maybe .dtshd is not meant for that, although some software players indeed can play .dtshd.

P.S. Ah, I was meaning to answer the last post on page 1...
tebasuna51 already posted the complete solution.

Richard1485
20th July 2020, 18:01
Some muxers won't see .dtshd. You can just change the extension to .dts.

But if the muxer in question is tsMuxeR, when you click add, change All supported media files to All files, and then select the track. It will work.

Hello Hello tebasuna51,

We did as you said. We download java 32.
It works with Windows 10 32 bit only.
Windows 10 64-bit still remains, pending

tebasuna51
24th July 2020, 21:07
Windows 10 64 bits can run soft 32 bits, you can have Java 32 and 64 bits at same PC runing Windows 64 bits.

We need Java 32 bits because DTS-HD Master Audio Suite is a 32 bits soft.

Hello everyone,

DTS HD Master Audio suite still pending under Windows 10 64 bits

tebasuna51
5th August 2020, 12:22
DTS HD Master Audio Suite need mono wav channels like input, you can adjust the volume of each channel, before load them, with many tools: audio editors like Audacity, command line tools like eac3to, ffmpeg, ...

Hello everyone,

DTS HD Master Audio suite still pending under Windows 10 64 bits

Windows 10 64 bits can run soft 32 bits, you can have Java 32 and 64 bits at same PC runing Windows 64 bits.

We need Java 32 bits because DTS-HD Master Audio Suite is a 32 bits soft.

Have you installed Java 32 in Windows 10 64 bits?

Check the samplerate of input files (with MediaInfo for instance) and the selected one in the DTS-HD Master Audio.

Most the times must be 48000 Hz or 48 KHz

1) For what you need encode audio to DTS-MA?
There are other codecs more efficients.

2) Your source files are 41 KHz? From where?
There are tools to resample your source files to the desired samplerate, but is not recommended at all.

tebasuna51

To say you how I need know your sources.
Use MediaInfo and put a text info of your sources.

Singphcholphay
27th August 2020, 16:28
44 or 44100 if you want we wil send you details one text per media info

tebasuna51
27th August 2020, 17:29
Of course.

If source is a stereo CD Audio (44100 Hz) the best way to store lossless the audio is encode to .flac (free, with better compression rate, supported in many players,...), not to DTS-MA.

@Singphcholphay,

What playback device will you be using to play your DTS-HD MA audio encodes?

Are they 5.1 channels or 7.1 channels?
