I finally got tired of doing the Smartripper and DVD2AVI procedures manually, so I decided to write a script for this, see attachment.
To do this I have used DVD2SVCD's commandline version of DVD2AVI.
And because I can't figure out how to get the same functionality in a bat script, I did the script in perl, using the ActiveState perl interpreter.
I'am aware that this will probably fail in a number of special cases, and I'am not sure I would use if I were encoding NTSC movies.
But hopefully this will be made obsolete by the next version of GKnot
You can get the commandline version of DVD2AVI from here

And the activestate perl interpreter can be found here

And you will need to edit the script to fit your system.
