Custom monitor.inf

I recently upgraded my hardware and I am having the problem right now that custom resolutions do not stick.
I can use only 47.952hz or 48.00hz.

Win7 had correctly identified my Toshiba-TV but Win10 just labels it as a generic monitor.
So one of the (possible) solutions that I found on the internet was to create a custom monitor.inf containing
the necessary EDIDs with the tool MonInfo from EnTech.
This went well but the new monitor.inf can not be installed on Win10 because it is not digitally signed.
(I already tried the Win10-testmode but the inf was still rejected.)

I vaguely remember that I once did that but this was years ago on Win7 using makecert.exe ! Does anybody maybe
knows a goood tutorial or can help right away ? Thx

To disable driver signature enforcement in Windows 10 hold shift while clicking restart. Then go to Troubleshoot -> Advanced -> Startup Settings.

However, I am not sure this is the best option. Have you tried ToastyX's Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU)?

Thank you !! With this procedure it was possible to install the patched inf but unfortunately Win10 still does not properly recognize my TV !
So weird that Win10 is often much worse than Win7.
I wait for the next GPU driver build and try to patch the EDID directly in there and see what happens but Madshi already said that the Intel APIs will most likely ignore this as well.

And, yes, I do use the CRU tool. In fact, it is the only tool that is really useful in my current situation.
