Ok, I must have done something stupid, so don't yell too loud... :scared:

I created an ISO image of "There's Something About Mary", and it seemed to go just fine...

But when I mount the image using DAEMON, PowerDVD says:

This disk not formated to play in this region.

Ok, what did I do wrong?

The disk plays fine from my DVD-ROM drive and find in my normal DVD player...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jason

You need to set the region of the virtual dvd drive too.
This must be done each time your machine is rebooted (because it gets reset).
You can change the region using the device's properties page found in device manager by right clicking on the drive under 'DVD/CDRom Drives'

Doh!

Yep, that worked...

Sigh...

Why must it be reset every time... That is kinda annoying...

BTW, when true DVD-R drives that can burn 8.5GB dual layer DVDs come on the market, will I be able to burn this ISO image back to a DVD disk?

Thanks for the help. :)

I know its annoying, but perhaps in the next release of Daemon Tools this will have been changed :)

Yes, when (if) 9GB discs become available, you will be able to burn straight back to DVD-R, just as you can now with the smaller films to 4.7GB discs.
