This chart has to be updated 'cause its x265 and AV1 results are extremely outdated.

Yes, of course. But generally there is no change. Maybe a few percents. I've requested newer results, though.

Step 1: finish codec specifications <--- we are still here
Step 2: make it fast
"simpler code" = unoptimized = easier to debug

Too bad that nobody makes a comparison of the blurring (for example - MSU Blurring*)

LoL. I really like VP9 but its speed kills all my enthusiasm.
