yeah and surprisingly im not having too many problems! :-)
one here and there... im going to do a full clean install of xp and format all the drives ntfs and overhull what is running on startup... too much stuff now... BUT it takes time and thats what i do not have now! :(
so when i get the chance im going to get my machine running better.
maybe in the mean time someone who is using wintasks 4 could get a good Template going for everyone :)

Since someone asked, no, I have not used WinTasks for burning or anything else. CCE was the only thing I was having problems with. I suppose it would help with other issues such as burning if you have those kind of problems. As far as a template goes, just run DVD2SVCD in RealTIme. If
you want to adjust a few things down in
priority too (I did), that's fine, but if
you run DVD2SVCD in RealTime it probably
doesn't matter about the other stuff.
If I understand the docs, if you run DVD2SVCD in real time, nothing else will
get the CPU until it finishes. It's really not that hard to use WinTasks. If you can run DVD2SVCD, you can run WinTasks without anyone else's help.

Hello, I noticed a new version of mpeg2dec available in a thread in dvd2avi. I wonder if this might help some of the people having trouble with CCE? TBerry says it has some seeking problems fixed.

Haven't had a chance to try your stresstest yet, but I have been reading up on this post and I just wanted to share this info. I found this interesting freeware program called "ENDITALL". It basically shows what's running, and what is "protected" like the Explorer shell. You can set what you want to protect and then ENDITALL, i.e. kill everything else running.
Just do a Google search on "ENDITALL.zip". Great program, I just started using before encodes and it just seems to do it's job well and free.

How do I set d2s up to process in real time? Ever since latest build CCE crashes my Dell P667 with 384 meg rdram every time.

Did anybody having cce crashes try out the newer mpeg2dec mentioned above? It is supposed to have some seeking issues fixed.
From reading the forum it sounds like the crashes are due to avisynth or mpeg2dec or a combination of them both rather than CCE directly because so many people could run the stress test with no problems.
I would think this would be the single most important test anybody with cce crashes could try as failure on starting a new pass seems to be the place it crashes for most with stable machines. Since seeking may be involved this seems like it would be a good thing to try? Am I crazy?
