Scenarist subpictures

I am trying to use photoshop 6.0 to create the text for subpicture. I am having problems with scenarist 2.5 showing the text in the simulation window. What is the best methode for making excellent subpictures? Do the pro's use photoshop?

Well I never really worked with Scenarist but I think it is similar to Maestro when working with menus (I read the Scenarist manual). In Maestro you import the Photoshop *.psd file as your menu background picture and it will automatically recognize your layer with the text as the subpicture. The only catch is that you can only have 2 layers, the original picture layer and the layer with the text. So what I do is, edit the original picture and save *.bmp. Then open the edited *.bmp file and add a layer of text and save as *.psd.
