Hi guys first of all I want to say hi and tell you this, I using BD rebuilder for encoding BD50 to BD25 and so far I use my desktop computer.

So I need to go from one place to another and I so need to know if my laptop could do the job? I mean, if my laptop can encode that several hours without any problem? any problem like broke some component or problems with motherboard, memory... you know

My laptop is a Dell inspiron 17 5000 series with i5 7th gen and 8gb ddr4 and the fan cooler push the hot air from the back

Because that I so wish to know

Have a nice day

Yes, you can, as long as your laptop has enough free disk space, if the i5 is dual core only (u series) it may take a long time to complete, a quad core i5 (HQ series) is almost as fast as the Desktop version.

It may get a bit warm, just make sure to keep ventilation grills clear, eg dont do it with laptop sitting on the bed (if grills underneath base).
