Weird project, can this be possible?

Hi!

Say I have two different DVDs with two different movies in it:

Movies A1 and B1 on DVD1
and movies A2 and B2 on DVD2.

Say I just want to have a new DVD with A1 + A2 in one and B1 and B2 in 2.

Can I do this with just SmartRipper and some IFO editing or what?

If so, how do I exactly achieve this?

i'd try using smartripper to rip out each vob....so you have 4 separate vob files.
then use an authoring program (dvdit-pe, maestro, etc.) to make menu items that point to each vob.

AFAIK Maestro does not let you import VOB files, right??

SOme1 pointed out that other authoring software does support VOBs, but I don't get how to get onto this issue without the aid of such software...

I thought it would be as simple as copying (or ripping) the required VOBs of every movie, rename them and retouching IFOs...

Is that the good path? No1 has tried this bfore??
