Hi,
DVD2SVCD has deleted again my ripped IFO-File.
Doesn't cause a problem for me because since I had this problem my first time I'm always saving the file.
How to get the error:
- Start ripping a DVD (enable the "Do not delete any files!")
- Wait until DVD2SVCD is ripping the last VOB-File and than press on the X on the Window-top-right to close the Program. DVD2SVCD will than ask you if to close, say YES. Now, as smart as DVD2SVCD is :-))), if will rip the last files and that it closes itself as I want.
- Now some time later (after ripping some more DVDs in other folders) restart DVD2SVCD and select the IFO-File over Conversion -] Open IFO.
- Everything is OK, but now hit the GO-Button! Yo'll get a last message blablabla WinDVD... hit OK and you'll get a error message "File not found". Lokk into the folder and uuuuups, the ifo isn't there any more *grrrr*.
Sorry, but the log-file is already overwritten....
OK here is my workaround for this problem:
- create a batchfile like go.bat into the folder where your IFO is located.
- Create a copy of your ifo into the same folder called 012.ifo
- now write this lines into the Batch file:
"
:start
copy 012.ifo original_filename.ifo
goto start
"
original_filename bust be replaced with te name of your original ifo file.
Now start the batchfile and you'll get an enlessloop.
Now start DVD2SVCD and WOW everthing works fine ;-)
After hitting the GO-Button, while DVD2SVCD is extracting the sound you can stop the batchfile.
OK, at last a VERY BIG THANK YOU to the coder of DVD2SVCD for his very nice and helpful program!!!
THX
