Timeline for image approval

I've got a few images in a thread that say "Attachments Pending Approval" - any ideas how long this takes? They were posted a couple of days ago.
I appreciate the mods are probably volunteers, just wanted an insight on timeline.

It is better to use an external site and an image link, that is instant. :)

One of the moderators suggested (some time ago), that you should Report you own post (next to the green dot, the road sign thing at bottom under avatar) for faster approval.
