Problems going back to the main menu once movie is playing

I'm authoring a dvd (in DVDMaestro) with 3 short subject films (about 25-30 minutes a piece). I have one main menu that allows you to select the film (3 choices). Once you select the film you get the menu for the appropraite film (Play, Set UP, Scene Selection, Main Menu). When I am actually playing one of the films and I press the menu button the my remote the film seems to just resume (rather than going back to the menu) and if I press Title it goes back to Menu 1(the 3 film selections). Previously I had it working to the point that pressing Menu took you to that films selection menu (play, setup, scene selection...) and Title took you back to the main menu. When I look at my project Connections I only see the options for First Play and Title Menu (both I have set to Menu 1). Then the client wanted me to add subtitles. So I have added subtitles and have them working fine but now pressing Menu just seems to resume the film (basicly you only see a slight pause in the playback of the film, no menu). This happens for all 3 films. The only thing I have assigned resume to is the subtitle on and subtitle off buttons for setup menus for each film.

How do I set it back so that pressing Menu takes me to the appropriate menu for that film (film 1 should go to menu 2, film 2 menu 3, film 3 menu 4).

Also should Title or Root take me to the first menu?

Under Connections you can defin the Title menu etc. What do you have there for Title, Menu1 etc.?

Hi,

the second entry in the connections, the Title Menu, you set your very first menu (say Play, Chapters etc.). This is the main menu you jump to when pressing the TitleMenu button on a remote (or in Softplayer).

At the individual chapters (and/or Movies) you always have a Menuitem where you select the menu+button you jump to when a user presses the menu button while playing this chapter.

This should always work, at least it does with me. Be sure you didn't set something strange (by accident) in the Preselection (Advanced Buttons) options.
