Hello

Stupid question, I need the answer though!
I got Nero 5.0 and an LG burner (16X-10X-40X, can't remember the name)that support overburn, but it looks like it's not working.
Each time I have a movie bigger than 700MB, Nero has to finalize but at no time it's talking about overburning. Why?
I must have missed something!

did you enable overburning in file-preferences-expert...?

Besides I think I followed carefully the help regarding this subject.

Did you select Track-At-Once or Disc-At-Once??? Overburning is only available in DAO mode.

I know that it has to be DAO but I cannot find this option. I find it only for audio CD burning.

Fire up Nero, select the tracks you want to record, open CD-Write dialog window, select Burn tab, and there is something like Write Method - there you can choose between TAO and DAO.

Depends on how much bigger than 700MB your files are and on what is the nominal capacity of the CDR.

For example 705MB doesn't need overburning. As long as Nero only says it needs to finalize, your files are not big enough!

Aaah!!!

This is it. I guess my files, as you said, are not big enough and it just finalizes. how big has to be the movie to start overburning?
More than 705MB? Sorry again, i am not a Nero expert!

705MB was only an example - depends on the CDRs and probably also on the writer you use. Just try it out.
