The menus themselves are easy (do them just like yopu do stills, simply use an MPG file with a video instead of an MPG file with a still)

What is difficult is to do the actual MPG; you can try tools like TSCV but I have found that utility incredibly complex to use and full of bugs. I think most people will use it just for the menues capability , but de documentation is nil, I have not been capable of knowing how it supposedly does what it is supposed to do (so I could try to fix whichever is broken), the interface is cumbersome to say the least and it has too many options for things I have not intention to use (there are plenty of tools much simpler to learn to make anything but the animated menus... in fact, I found much easier to make the XML by hand than using this tool).

In sum, tscv is what you are looking for, but probably you will have little more than frustration unless the program takes a really serious bug hunt...

The programmer seems to be a really capable guy, the ideas behind are great and some people has obtained great results, but in my opinion, the guy that makes it, or is an extraterrestrial being living among us, or perhaps he is a cousin of the one that designed my ISDN box... that ISDN box works great, is a very fine piece of hardware, only a little weird; for example, when everything is working OK, it signals it by a blinking red light...

thanks for your help, i already tried tscv but with vcd and it was ok.

i will try to make a menu with an animation.

i think i have to precise my question: i would like to produce animated menus with rollover effects when you highlight a choice. i think it's impossible with svcd...
