--colormatrix question in Simple X264.

Hey guys, I'm using --colormatrix smpte170m --colorprim smpte170m --transfer smpte170m for encoding NTSC DVDs to digital x264 MKV, and --colormatrix bt470bg --colorprim bt470bg --transfer bt470bg for encoding PAL DVDs to digital x264 MKV.

I'm somewhat confused by these, are these just flags that tell the player what colorspace the DVD is using?, and should I put them in the encoder?

Yes, they are just flags. From what I can see you are using them correctly and should continue to do so. (Unless you resize to HD or do color changes in your script. Then other options may be more suited.)
