Hey there!
Iīm Mr_Music and Iīm new here!
I just wanted to introduce myself before I ask away!
----------------------------------------------------

Hereīs my problem:
I canīt capture video to my PC, My computer doesnīt "detect" the camcorder.
Itīs a PANASONIC NV-3EX camcorder and I bought it for about 800 US$, so you can see why Iīm dissapointed when my Pc canīt detect the camera, not even with various capturing software it will detect. Error messages like this one popsup, "Camcorder not detected, connect camcorder to PC"
I also bought a Firewire card and cables, but nothing!
I have a DV-2-FIREWIRE cable which I connect between the PC and camcorder.
My firewire card works without any problems according to win2K.

Panasaonic told me to buy some drivers from them, for 250 US$!!!!!!!!!
Iīcant afford that!

Please help me find adriver or a solution to this problem!
Pleaqse help me, Iīm desperate!

Thank you in advance!

What you need is a capturing/editing program.
Try Stoik VideoMan as it's less then 50$ and do very nice job. It's a very good beginers program before you will want to go up.
Another nice program is the Pinnacle Studio DV. Some of the products in the line are coming with a Fire Wire card. It's also a vry simple to use program.

Well, I tried adobe premiere 6.0 and some software that came with my firewire-card, MGi something, but they didnīt detect my camera.
I think I nee some driver for my camcorder. Itīs a DV camcorder with DV-in and DV-out. Shouldnīt my camera be visible in the "hardware device manager" as a device?

Thanx!

No.
You are not supposed to see the camera under devices as far as I remember.
First start Premier, then Plug in the camera.
After go to Premier preferances and sett he machine control to DV.
Some cameras don't support machine control so you will have t start the playback on the camera to see any thing happening.

You also have to Install Direct X Video capture update from microsoft.
