Setting queue

I have problem,I can't set queue for my TV series,every episodes I have to create script and then encode and have to wait for completion so I can add next one,is there any way I can queue my jobs so tht when I m off to work I can keep encoding running so when I m back I have my episodes ready

I m.using megui,pls dont suggest handbrake (I knw it has queue option)

Each time I m ready to prepare script

But I want to create first all 5-7 scripts at a stretch and then I want encoding to run,pls explain in detail how can I do tht

There's no reason why you can't keep creating scripts and adding jobs to the queue while a job is currently running.

Unchecking "start new jobs in queue immediately" will do what you want (I have it unchecked) but with it checked only the first job added to the queue should start automatically and the rest should follow one at a time. Unless you have more than one active Worker. Then the number of jobs starting automatically and running simultaneously would no doubt equal the number of workers. Have a look under the Workers menu and delete them if there's multiple workers.

Yes u r right,but I want to ask,I use autoencode,and as u said after adding all scripts where should I hit to start process,shuld I just begin with first set of script so latter it automatically starts one after the other

Or I have to just transfer all my scripts to some one worker or should it remain in main queue,and how to initiate command to encode

Sounds like newbie but I m struggling since month,pls explain in detail

If you only have one active worker (under the workers menu) when you click "start" the jobs will run one at a time until they're done. You can just keep adding jobs to the queue and the same worker will run them.

If you add a second worker, two jobs will run simultaneously etc.

I've never understood how sending jobs to particular workers works exactly as I've never done it, but I assume if you do send jobs to a worker you're telling it which jobs it can run. If you don't send jobs to a particular worker, each one just runs the next job in the queue when the current job it's running finishes. With the exception of audio encoding. Only one audio encoding job will run at a time.

I don't use AutoEncode much, but when jobs are grouped (video encoding, audio encoding, muxing etc) and you have more than one worker running, I assume if a worker starts the first job in the group it'll run the rest in the group and a second worker would skip to the next job or group.
