Hi all,
I have a scenarist sd (3.1) project and noticed in the simulation window that when I am changing chapters in the feature the SPRM7 does not change value at all.
If I start from the beginning and change chapter it stays at 1 but if I jump from the ss page to chapter 6 for example and then change chapter it stays to 6 and does not change.
Have you ever had this before?
Any ideas?
Its a rather big project and I'd like to fix if possible.
If not, I'll have to build it again since the export import of a script did not help.
Thanks!

Don't trust the simulator so much.
Test it on some different hardware dvd-players to see if it works as expected.
The main problem with SPRM7 is that some players store the PTT value (part of title, right), while others store the PG number (wrong).
Also, keep in mind that SPRM7 should contains the part of title value, but is only valid for one sequential PGC (single PGC, no repeat, random, or shuffle play)

That's the thing, it does not work as expected. QC reported it back as an issue on different players.
The thing is I have not seen it in the simulation window before. I bet if I make it work there it will pass qc.
I'll start building it again just to make sure. Thanks!

Has the title one sequential PGC only?

Yes, one pgc with 12 chapters.

Ok, try this, on a completely new project add a pgc with chapters. If you play it and skip chapters you'll see that sprm 7 is changing properly.
Now, add a dummy pgc under the same title and repeat the same procedure. You'll see that sprm7 is stuck to number 1 and does not change.
Do you have any idea? Is it a bug or is it the dvd specs that way?
Thanks!

... and if you delete that dummy pgc it will play right again.

Behavior is correct
add a dummy pgc under the same title
Now the title is not one sequential anymore, as there are two pgcs
One sequential title means one pgc.

You are ABSOLUTELY right!
